Research shows that up to 80% of children’s learning involves their vision. Since children may not be able to recognize they are experiencing a vision problem, regular vision screenings are extremely important.
Teachers, parents, and caretakers are typically some of the first to notice a potential vision problem.
After we have established a patient relationship we find it very important to keep the parents actively involved with every step of their child’s eyecare. Children are often influenced by their parent’s reactions, so we strongly encourage a positive environment and that you should address any concerns and questions that you have. We want to help the parents understand that by providing the proper eyecare they are investing in their child’s physical, scholastic, social, and emotional development.
